So what do you do?

People in networking meetings usually ask me “So, what do you do?”

My response is to say – I help my clients find the life and career they will love! Over 70% of the clients I’ve worked with had no idea what they wanted from life which is fine if you’re not bothered. It’s one reason you should not hire a life coach.

However, if you do want to know ‘what’s next in your life’ there has never been a better time to get some coaching either 1-1 or as part of a community of likeminded people.

The next question I get asked is “How to you do that?”

My response is that my job is to help them to examine what’s currently keeping them up at night. Here’s some examples.

Different generations worry about different things so as we progress through life the anxiety and stresses change which is completely normal.

Last week I helped a lady in her 20’s explore and discover what she wanted from life and now she is following her passion and moving to her dream job in Europe.

A man in his 30’s was worried about not having achieved anything yet. He went onto create of vision board with my help and now has a focus for the future and a plan to get there.

The Success Principles methodology has worked for decades but you might not have heard of it because its unique to Jack Canfield Certified Trainers. I use proven success principles to guide clients through a transition from feeling worried and stressed to finding their passion, clarity and a road map for their future which  transforms their self-confidence.

I won’t just tell you about these success principles…I will show you how to implement them into your life. Your invited to my next live on-line meet up. It’s FREE and lasts about 30 minutes. Drop me your details in the contact form and I’ll send you the Zoom meeting details. Please feel free to invite a friend as well.

What do you want in your life?

Early this year I ran an event for the Junior Chamber International which of course needed to be on-line via Zoom because of Covid.  The workshop was called “Putting your world back together using The Success Principles™”.

All my workshops are interactive and engaging and this one was no different and it was a huge pleasure to be working with JCI members again.

We did some practical, and inspiring exercises using two of The Success Principles I use as a Certified Jack Canfield Trainer.

The first Success Principle is called Take 100% responsibility for your life. The principle is about seeing how we are creating what we are experiencing through our thoughts, images. and behaviours. You’ll find the exercise really thought provoking both for yourself and others around you.

The second Success Principle we used is called “Decide what you want”. One of the easiest ways to start clarifying what you really want is to make a list of things you want to do, things you want to have and things you want to be before you die. This is a great way to get the ball rolling.

The lessons we all learnt from these exercises to is that to make progress in our lives we have to visualize clearly on our future wants and desires.

Here’s what Michael Rothon – JCI Southampton Local President said after the event:

“Lesley is a fantastic trainer, with endless enthusiasm for the effect that success principles can have in our lives. Her skill as a senior lecturer clearly shows with her storytelling techniques to deliver insightful and engaging training. I would 100% invite Lesley back to train for us again and recommend her to others! “

So, I’m asking you now “What you want to do, what you want to be, and what you want to have?”

University is not for everyone

University is not for everyone.

In recent posts I’ve given away free worksheets to start the process of pupils taking 100% responsibility. In class I’ve found that teenagers respond really well to them. I’m giving them to you to help your teens get ahead. Download your copies here today.

In class we often talk about Grades and these are important BUT they don’t help teenagers focus on what they’re passionate about and they often choose subjects, courses and degrees they are simply not engaged with.

So, The Success Principles for Teens™ Programme takes a different approach discovering what teenagers are passionate about and then finding a road map for them to take forward.

Consider this – if more teens know who they are, and what they want from life and their career and were passionate about moving toward would that be better than demotivated and unengaged pupils I’ve taught at Universities across the UK. I hope your answer would be YES.

At a workshop with a group of teenagers at Havant and South Downs College I asked this question “What would be the job you’d love so much that you’d do it for free but that you’d actually get paid for?”

One young lady said she wanted to be a gardener and got clarity about the types of courses she would be passionate about pursuing. University is not for everyone!

Help your teens today using the worksheets in my book called “The Ultimate Guide for Parents: How to help your kids become self-confident, happy and passionate.” Now available on Amazon.
