One of the problems many schools have is how to provide students with work experience. Some students don’t bother trying to get work experience, others simply can’t get something appropriate so what can be done to help those students?
I love helping young people to find out more about who they and want they want from their life and career. Once students explore these areas they often can be helped more by careers advisers to progress further into education or into the job market.
I was honoured this month to be able to deliver two half day workshops for The Henry Cort Community College students. Each student ended up with a vision board which covered six areas of their lives. Many of these students are very aspirational and it was lovely to see their vision boards appear on the their screens. I really hope they will keep working towards what they want in life now. @HenryCortNews
